Ahmed's Path to Independence

Ahmed, 28, fled Eritrea and arrived in Birmingham with refugee status but no local support. At Red Sea Housing Services, he received help with language classes, budgeting, and access to community networks. Within six months, he found part-time work in catering and began mentoring others. Today, he rents his own home and volunteers as a community interpreter.

Leanne's Restart

Leanne, 21, left care and found herself sofa-surfing and anxious. She moved into a Red Sea property and worked with her support worker to build stability and confidence. With help from a local college partner, she began a Health and Social Care course and is now in paid employment.

Kamal's Stability and Growth

Kamal’s, 46, was referred after experiencing homelessness and depression.
